Clara cordially invites you to the

The Nutcracker Tea Party

Join Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her court at the Nutcracker Tea Party following the Nutcracker performance on December 16, 2018 with this year's "Waltz of the Flowers" theme.   The Tea is sponsored by Coakley &  Williams Construction and will be held at the Norbeck Country Club.  This memorable affair is an interactive experience geared toward pre-school and elementary-aged children and their families. At the Tea, guests will enjoy pancakes with toppings and sweets with coffee, sodas and tea (of course!).  There will also be a cash bar for adult beverages.  Your children will interact and mingle with costumed Nutcracker dancers,  collect autographs, enjoy arts and crafts, have a photo opportunity with the Sugar Plum Fairy and even have a dance lesson with Clara! Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture these special moments.

$40 each / $350 for a table of 10 by December 2, 2018

$45 each on or after December 3, 2018

 

Please Note: A Nutcracker performance ticket is not included with the Nutcracker Tea Party.  Nutcracker performance tickets are sold separately.

 

​​All seating is limited and subject to availability.  At time of purchase, please list if there is another party with whom you would like to be seated. Otherwise, tables will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

DIRECTIONS from Olney Theatre Center to Tea at Norbeck Country Club:

  1. Start out going northwest on Olney Sandy Spring Rd/MD-108 toward Rose Theatre Cir. (0.29 miles)

  2. Turn left onto Old Baltimore Rd (1.24 miles)
  3. Turn right onto Georgia Ave/MD-97 (0.40 miles)
  4. Turn left onto Hines Rd (1.31 miles)
  5. Turn left onto Cashell Rd. (0.16 miles)

  6. Take the 1st right. (0.41 miles)

  7. Arrive at 17200 Cashell Rd, Rockville, MD 20853
  • Can I purchase a ticket to attend only the Tea and not the Nutcracker performance?
    Yes, tickets to the attend the tea are sold separately.
  • Is the Tea at the same place as the Nutcracker performance?
    Yes. This year, The Nutcracker performances and The Tea will be taking place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Performing Arts Center, located at 17301 Old Vic Blvd, Olney, MD 20832.
  • Do adults need to purchase tickets to The Tea?
    Yes, this is a ticketed event and every person attending the tea must have a ticket. In addition, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Children 2 and up, and those requiring a seat, will need their own ticket to the event. Please note that Our Lady of Good Counsel does not have high chairs or booster seats.
  • Can I purchase a ticket to the Tea the day of the event?
    This year, tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door. We also strongly recommend purchasing your tickets to the Tea as soon as possible as capacity is limited and does SELL OUT.
  • Help! I am not sure if I purchased a ticket to attend the Tea.
    You will have a separate ticket that will specifically state that you have purchased a ticket to attend the “Tea” as separate pricing for this event applies. If you require further assistance, please contact chair@olneyballettheatre.org.
  • I bought tickets to see the Nutcracker performance on a separate day, but would still like to attend the tea. Is that possible?"
    Yes (subject to availability), tickets to the Tea are sold separately, and there is no show on the day of the Tea this year.
  • Do I need to bring my ticket with me to the Tea?
    Yes, please! Kindly bring your Tea ticket(s) to ensure quick entry into the Tea. Your tickets will have been purchased through Dance Recital Ticketing, so check your inbox for an email from them to find your tickets. If there are any issues pulling up your tickets, please reach out to chair@olneyballettheatre.org.
