Rehearsal Schedule for Tech Week is now posted. It is the first weekend at the theater and we are all getting acclimated. We have already created a lost-and- found box in the green room with following items: a) one pair of reading glasses, tortoise shell frame b) one pair of new black tights, size 7-10 c) a book titled "Phoebe and Her Unicorn" d) a blue Burberry London bag with 2 pairs of ballet shoes - no names inside e) a Puma camo pullover hoodie Please check and make sure all of your belongings are labeled. In particular, if anyone has a ballet slipper that belongs to Arya Pathak, please return. (It is labeled). Until the green room is open on wednesday, dancers may bring their belongings into the theatre and line them up on the back wall.

Nutcracker Rehearsals on Friday are at BDC. Nutcracker Rehearsals on Saturday and thereafter are at Olney Theatre. (BDC will be closed at this time).

REHEARSALS THIS WEEKEND Thank you for your patience while we were in limbo getting the theatre ready for rehearsals. The Rehearsal schedules are now posted on our member portal. As luck would have it, we were experiencing issue with the google calendar on our member portal, so we had to switch the calendar view to a different format until the issue is resolved. Rehearsals will be held at Olney Theatre Center. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your rehearsal time to help us stay on schedule Please remember that rehearsals are A CLOSED SET and parents must wait in the lobby until their dancer's rehearsal is over. There will be a sign-in sheet in the lobby to sign-in/out your dancer. A volunteer will take your dancer into the theatre. This is a great time for parents to volunteer! Please bring homework, quiet games or books to work on in the lobby until it is time for your rehearsal. Dancers will not be allowed to run around or make loud noises while in the lobby. The theatre is very strict on keeping disruptions to a minimum. We ask that you sit with your dancer in the lobby until they go into the theatre. NUT FREE PERFORMANCE - This is a reminder that we are a Nut-free PERFORMANCE. We have dancers with severe NUT (all NUTS) allergies!! Please do NOT bring nuts to the Berrend Dance Center (BDC) studio or the Olney Theatre. PARKING AT THE THEATRE – All parents must park at Good Counsel High School and walk their dancers to the theatre. Parents CANNOT park in the theatre parking lot during rehearsals AND performances. During the performances, there will be crossing guards on duty to assist.

The rehearsal schedule through Friday is posted. We are waiting to confirm our access to the theatre and then we will post the rehearsal schedule for the upcoming weekend.

1. Painted shoes can now be picked up at the costume shop 2. One pair of pointe shoes was turned in to be painted, but had no name, character or color indicated.  Please see Mrs. Tharp if you do not see your shoes in the crate. 3. -Lots of non-sewing and hand sewing costume projects yet to do …please lend a hand if you are in the studio! Costume load in will be on Monday morning, December 9th -need several volunteers with vehicles to meet at BDC to transport items to the theatre -plan to meet at BDC from 9-10 am to begin loading items into vehicles -Please contact Lauren at ltharp1@comcast.net if you are able to help with the costume transport, load-in and set-up at the theatre

Please Review the following: -Ribbons and elastics for shoes available in the costume shop (If Lauren not in shop, items can be found in basket on the back of costume shop door) -There are some non-sewing projects (…and of course ALWAYS sewing projects….) again available in the costume shop -Request that parents wait in the hallway or lobby when their dancer called for a fitting. The new shop space is significantly smaller, so extra bodies in the shop can make things pretty complicated. -Collecting shoes to be painted Friday, 11/29 and hope to return them as soon as possible to dancers. If your dancer has not yet turned in shoes, please let Lauren know ETA of shoes.

Little change to today’s schedule: Flowers from 3:30-4:00 and Opening Act 2 from 4:0–5:00 to give more people more time to get to the studio.
